Ms. Barron has been a Substance Abuse and Health Care Professional for over twenty years. She holds degrees in Addiction Studies and Mental Health. Her hard work resulted in the establishment of Diagnostic Assessment Center in 1995.

She has a reputation as a self-directed professional, possessing superior problem-solving, communication, education and assessment skills. She has been successful in program implementation, psycho-social assessment, counseling intervention, educational forums, client relations, and staff training and supervision.

She has provided services to District and Circuit Courts, legal professionals, requesting agencies and the Driver License Appeal Division. She has developed and implemented programs for various agencies in both Wayne and Macomb Counties, which include: providing group therapy for clients with mental health and substance abuse disorders in day care facilities and private groups; alcohol and drug education for chemically dependent male and female recidivists at prison facilities and life skills training for transition to community living. She also devised, coordinated and facilitated a substance abuse program for dually-diagnosed patients, participating in medical reviews with consulting physicians and medical staff to assess patient progress and facilitation.

Other program development and facilitation include: Safety in the workplace, retail fraud, a marine alcohol safety program for safety on the waterways, relapse prevention, anger management and alcohol highway safety education.
